Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology strengthens collaborations with leading universities in Southwest Vietnam
In the morning of March 5th , 2021, the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) including the President Board and leaders of its affiliated units led by Assoc Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao, HCMUT Vice-President paid a visit to Can Tho University to introduce the CEP program and its master degree programs in English. Receiving the delegation were Prof.Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector of Can Tho University; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Tinh – Vice Rector and representative leaders and lecturers of the hosting university.

At the meeting, the representative of HCMUT presented an overview about the university, the Collaborative Education Program (CEP) and the master program in Construction Management in the framework of CEP program. As it is known, the CEP is implemented by HCMUT within the ” Technical Cooperation Project for ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network ” (JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net and operated by the Cobsortium including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Yokohama National University (Japan), Yangon University of Technology (Myanmar) and JFE Steel Corporation (Japan). The Consortium has launched the English master program in Construction Management with a training duration of 2 years. AUN / SEED-Net project will provide scholarships to students of Southeast Asian nationality (except Brunei, Singapore and Vietnam).
The two universities have shared information and experience in training and building curriculum, and then discussed potential cooperation opportunities between the two universities in the CEP program as well as in other scopes
On that basis, the two universities shared information and experience in in training and building curriculum, and then discussed potential cooperation opportunities between the two universities in the CEP program as well as in other mutual scopes in academic activities; staff and student exchange, research cooperation; organizing seminars/conferences; etc.
On the same day, the HCMUT delegation also visited and worked with Can Tho University of Technology
On the same day, the HCMUT delegation also visited and worked with Can Tho University of Technology. Welcoming the delegation were Dr. Do Thi Tuyet Nhung – Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Thanh Nha – the Meritorious Teacher & the Rector and other unit leaders of Can Tho University of Technology. The two universities also exchanged information and their academic experience to work towards future collaborations in mutual interests.
