In the morning of 1st August 2021, HCMUT and Hitachi, Ltd. successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding on supporting technology and industry 4.0.

Attending the signing ceremony, from Hitachi, Ltd., there was online participation of the leaders of Hitachi Sunway Information Systems including Mr. Muzahid Shah, Senior Vice President – Applications & Engineering Solutions and Mr. Aminder Singh, Assistant Vice President – Applications & Engineering Solutions. On the side of Hitachi Sunway Information Systems Vietnam, there was Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep – Director of Hitachi Systems Vietnam. From Siemens Vietnam, there was Mr. Vo Hong Ky – Siemens PLM Vietnam Country Manager. As the ceremony host, HCMUT was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Thanh Phong – President and leadership of relevant units.

In the spirit of mutual cooperation, HCMUT and Hitachi join hands to exploit valuable knowledge and experience in providing technology in the field of Industrial Revolution 4.0 to develop the university’s Digital Industry Laboratory. The scopes of cooperation are as follows:
HCMUT expects to develop academic curriculum oriented towards the 4th industrial Revolution in collaboration with Hitachi. Hitachi is supposed to support the university to analyze and evaluate its current program and didactic materials according to the standards of the Industry 4.0 curriculum as well as proposing the curriculum framework by adding training courses and supplementary subjects.

Hitachi will propose necessary equipment and softwares for training activities in digital industry laboratories and support practical training in these laboratories. Hitachi will also provide automation and transmission equipment, software licences, Product Lifecycle Management including NX, Teamcenter, Technomatix etc. and other necessary contents of the academic curriculum in Industry 4.0

The signing of the cooperation agreement between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Hitachi. Ltd, to implement the Digital Industry Laboratory project is a very important step contributing to improving the academic quality, constructing reputation of the University in the integration process of Industry 4.0; and also training highly qualified human resources for manufacturing enterprises.
