The 9th In-country Workshop under BUILD-IT framework
From 14-21 August, 2020, HCMUT and Arizona State University (ASU) co-organize the 9th In-country Workshop entitled “Advancing a University-Wide Digital Learning Ecosystem” under the framework of BUILD-IT project which is supported by USAID.

More than 70 lecturers from HCMUT, VNU HCM University of Social Sciences and Humanity, VNU HCM International University and Thu Dau Mot University have participated the workshop. Due to the pandemic COVID-19, the workshop is organized online. ASU lecturers provide lectures through digital platforms.
In-country Workshop organized at HCMUT
The workshop focuses on Digital learning ecosystem. COVID-19 has shown HEIs around the globe that they must be prepared for a paradigm shift in teaching and learning. Therefore, the workshop trains lecturers on how to effectively use digital tools and technologies to develop a highly interactive classes online.
This weeklong workshop will bring ASU experts together with UT faculty to build a community of practice focused on Digital Learning. Faculty will learn to identify when to use technology to enhance their lessons and curriculum, to what depth they use digital delivery, and in what modality. Faculty will also learn technical components including best practices in video creation and lecture capture as well as maintaining and asset broadcasting and management.
At the workshop, participants will have opportunities to share their experience, discuss with their peers in order to leverage their knowledge and skills using digital technologies. They will also have hands-on experience to design a 10-minute micro lesson and present at the workshop, which helps participants demonstrate their applications in real classes. The 9th In-country Workshop will importantly improve teaching skills for participants.
