HCMUT visited Unilever Vietnam
On June 10th, 2016, students of Chemical & Pharmaceutical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology visited Unilever Vietnam.

Located on the Tay Bac Industrial Park in Cu Chi District (Ho Chi Minh City), Unilvevler Vietnam welcomed HCMUT students at 7h30. This premise serves two purposes: administrative office and production site. The premise covers an area of 12,5 hectares. Unilever stays among top multi-national corporation in fields of personal care, home care, food, oral care.

At the visit, Director of labour safety department introduced general features about the company and employment opportunities at Unilever. HCMUT students were introduced to safety regulations, 4M processes (materials, machines, men, methods). The director from HR department also shared with HCMUT students about Unilever’s history, successes and development plans.
It was exciting for HCMUT students to disover the production of a shampoo which required cooperation among different departments including: food chemistry engineering, organic engineering, inorganic engineering (in order to produce and test products), mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical-electronics engineering (in order to operate automated machines), civil engineering (in order to design the plant), environmental engineering (in order to process waste water), business management (in order to develop marking plans and sales stratagies)…HCMUT students were all happy to discover the working environment and production lines.
