Female Postgraduate Student of HCMUT graduated with 9.9/10 points and 12 ISI published papers
Do Nguyen Hoang Nga – a master student in Chemical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh Ctiy University of Technology, Vietnam National University – HCM was one of the 31 outstanding postgraduate students awarded scholarships on 24 March 2021.

Hoang Nga was born in 1996. Having graduated from the master program with G.P.A of 9.63/10, she has achieved the highest academic achievement among those new postgraduates of late 2020 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Hoang Nga has published 12 ISI papers, successfully defending her master thesis in English with a score up to 9.9/10. At present, Hoang Nga is also the Head of Project Research and Development of Refinery and Petrochemicals Technology Research Center – HCMUT
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan, the Chancellor of VNU-HCM informed that Posgraduate Scholarship Project was approved by Vietnam National University-HCM in 2018 to award scholarships to the excellent graduate students and PhD candidates of member universities in VNU-HCM system. With a fellowship of 75 million VND for a PhD student and a scholarship of 25 million VND for a graduate student, the VNU-HCM Postgraduate Scholarship aims to encourage the students to spend their full-time on studying to produce qualified & valuable research work
Do Nguyen Hoang Nga said that the scholarships was a great encouragement helping students and researchers to focus their time on learning and researching. “I realized that when things seem to knock you down at the moment you want to give up the most, as long as you try a little more, step forward a little more, the sweet fruit will surely be on your own hand.”, she added.
The Graduate Scholarship of VNU-HCM is sponsored by NovaLand Group and Vietcombank with a total budget of 1.5 billion VND. To receive these scholarships, students and researchers must meet one of the following conditions: having at least 1 article published or accepted in the ISI / Scopus journals; having at least 2 articles published in the proceedings of prestigious reviewed international conference, having publications in foreign languages; 2 articles published in prestigious reviewed foreign journals; conducting research projects at all levels that have been evaluated and accepted.
