New Collaboration with The University College of Southeast Norway (HSN)

Morning on 31 May 2016, a meeting between HCMUT and HSN, Norway took place in Room 103A5. By merging different Norwegian universities into The University College of Southeast Norway (HSN) has made it one of the leading universities in the country.

From HCMUT, Prof. Mai Thanh Phong, Vice-Rector; Dr. Do Hong Tuan, Dean of Faculty of Electrical – Electronic Engineering; Dr. Nguyen Vo Trong, DeputyHead of Postgraduate Study Office and other representatives of External Relations Office joined the meeting. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss academic exchange programs and possibilities for developing partnership on joint training under NORPART funding.

In the meeting, the two universities decided to organize a visit of two HCMUT representatives to Norway for joining a workshop and meeting HSN professors to discuss the project proposal which will be submitted to Norwegian Government in September 2016.

After the main section, HSN delegation visited laboratories of Faculty of Electrical – Electronic Engineering. The longlasting collaboration history between HCMUT and HSN is a good foundation to foster future partnership between two institutions.
