Signing Memorandum of Understanding with University College of Northern Denmark (UCN)
In the morning of 18 February, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), opening up many potentials for cooperation with Nordic countries.
Attending the signing ceremony from UCN was Dr. Peter Møller Pedersen, UCN’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; Dr. Hoang Duc Binh – Chief Representative of UCN Global Office Vietnam and Mr. Tran Quang Sau, Recruitment Manager of UCN Global Office Vietnam. From Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao, HCMUT Vice Rector of International Affairs and Communications; Dr. Vu Anh Quang, Vice-Director of External Relations Office; Dr. Dang Dang Tung, Director of the International Study Program Office and the leadership of relevant faculties and offices.
The University College of Northern Denmark is the first Danish partner of HCMUT and the only Danish university to have a representative office in Vietnam, greatly facilitating the development of cooperation between the two universities in the future.
According to the exchange at the signing ceremony, the two sides will step up the student exchange program, starting with the academic and cultural exchange project – based learning within 2 weeks, working towards sending students for one semester exchange at the partner universities; as well as expanding staff exchange programs. The two sides also oriented to the joint training program, research and expressed willingness to develop the Erasmus + projects funded by European Commission.
Chairing at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao has supported the cooperation finalization between HCMUT and UCN, promising many practical activities for staff and students of the two institutions. The meeting ended with the signing the agreement, marking an important milestone for the cooperative relationship between the two universities.
