The 4th Regional Meeting of the Erasmus + LMPI Project
The Erasmus + LMPI Project : «Bachelor’s and Professional Master’s Degree for development, administration, management, protection of computer systems and networks in enterprises in Moldova, Kazakhstan and Vietnam» under the capacity building project in the field of higher education funded by European Commission via Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency has been being conducted at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology since October, 2016.
In the series of project activities, as a coordinating university in Vietnam, HCMUT presided over the 4th Regional Meeting which took place from 28th to 30th May, 2019. Simultaneously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology organised the program “Information Day and opening the center of excellence” of the Erasmus + LMPI Project at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology on 30/05/2019.
Cybersecurity is becoming one of the challenging issues of the new era for all countries, when all activities become digitized in all areas from politics, economy to society. After more than 2 years of implementing the project, from the beginning of 2017 up to now, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – VNU-HCM together with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam National University of Agriculture have worked closely with partner universities in Europe to complete the development / improvement of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs majoring in Cybersecurity with European qualification framework, and learning resources on E-learning system to support lifelong learning.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc, Vice Rector, representative of the Board of Rectors spoke at meeting. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is one of the leading technological universities in Vietnam with 60 years of establishment, development and integration. We constantly hold and develop our good reputation in the training of highly qualified human resources for the community and society. We are constantly expanding our domestic and international cooperation, and actively participating in international integration as well. Among the international projects have recently been implemented, European projects in particular, the Erasmus + ECORED for renewable energy, Erasmus + TACTIC for university management and Erasmus + LMPI for CyberSecurity are typical examples of the commitments to actively seeking solutions to emerging problems of the regional and the world community.
In this event, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology warmly welcomed delegates from diplomatic agencies of the French Embassy and the Spanish Embassy, representatives of companies, University of Vigo in Spain, the European university supporting us in staff training, and teachers from HCMUT. It’s an opportunity for us to meet, share and exchange more complete information about the project in the program today to expand and enhance comprehensive cooperation with the unversities and Erasmus + LMPI project members in human resources training. research and development to address Cybersecurity challenges in the context of industry 4.0.
Also, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc would like to take this opportunity to thank the Grenoble Academy (France) and Uninettuno (Italy) as the project coordinators for their active coordination in this project. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the University of Vigo in Spain, the European university supported us in staff training and constructing Bachelors and Master Programs in Cybersecurity; as well as joining us in developing double degree programs. Especially, he expressed his honor to acknowledge the presence of delegates at the event. Their kind support, companionship and sharing will bring the great success of the project and will be spread in communities around the world.
