The 3rd Regional Meeting of the Erasmus + LMPI Project
Within the framework of Erasmus Project + LMPI, the meeting took place in Hanoi from April 18 to 20 April, 2019.
The third regional meeting in Hanoi is between the European supporting university (University of Vigo, Spain) and the three Vietnamese universities participating in the project: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA).
The goals are: 1) support to the implementation of the new and renovated curricula in cybersecurity, 2) design, content production and assistance to the creation of the life-long learning (FTLV) course, and 3) assessment and monitoring of the on-line learning resources (FOAD) in each university.
Generally, the achievements within the project are behind of schedule in some of the lots. About the recruitment of students for the academic programs, the VN partners remark once again that the original targets are not feasible in this region. Yet, they agree to make a special effort in the design of the diffusion and dissemination activities to engage more students in the future.
In addition, UVigo – in charge of the referent university will strengthen its support and monitoring of the VN universities, both for helping in the unfolding of the academic programs and for populating the FTLV catalog of courses, which is currently scarce.
After two working days, the universities agreed on the contents to be done after the meeting: completing the contents of the report to have good preparation for the 4th international executive committee meeting in Greece in June, preparing the next project activities for the 4th and 5th Regional meetings in Ho Chi Minh City; developing the content of undergraduate and masters courses in cybersecurity; planning to promote the project as well as recording new video lessons on a different topic, focused on distant and life-long learning modules.
