The 5th Regional Meeting of the Erasmus + LMPI Project
In the series of project activities, HCMUT presided over the 5th Regional Meeting which took place from 12th to 13th September, 2019.
Fifth regional meeting in Vietnam was between the European supporting university (University of Vigo, Spain) and the three Vietnamese universities participating in the project: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) together with lectures from Faculty of Computer Engineering Science and project managers from HCMUT.
The purpose of the meeting was to update learning resources and the implementation of lifelong training courses (FTLV) at Vietnamese universities; complete course syllabus and learning resources based on technology for distance learning (FOAD); review and adjust final reports at the end of the semesters; carry out activities to promote the Master’s program in the Cybersecurity and the plan sustainable for the project in Vietnam.
During the work, University of Vigo realized that the process of implementing project activities at Vietnamese Universities on lifelong training programs (FTLV), distance learning (FOAD) was on schedule. The organization of online lectures, formulation of syllabus in accordance with the regulations that the project required in terms of content, duration, language and form were all homogeneous, especially together with its brand guaranteed during the implementation.
In addition to carrying out professional activities, the completion of the project’s final report that the Vietnamese universities jointly coordinated with the partner schools from Europe to carry out was also very important. The information in the final report was the main indicator to prove the achievements of the project as well as closely to reflect the results from the project.
This meeting also marked a long run of the universities involved in the project. As the supporting partner in the project, University of Vigo undertook to work hard to support Vietnamese colleagues in setting non-stop goals to develop a high-quality training program about Cybersecurity. This was one of the fields that always attracted directly not only students but also experts who pursued the excellence in researching Cybersecurity in particular and in the field of interesting Computer Engineering Science in general.
