RECTOR CONFERENCE
On December 7th 2018, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology hosted the Rector Conference with partner universities member of LMPI project.
The conference welcomed participation of more than 20 delegated from 7 countries of the project including France, Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Vietnam. During the meeting, delegated share their opinions on concerning issues with universities regarding cooperation and quality assurance in education, development strategically strong fields towards training a high quality labor force especially in Cyber Security.
Giving the opening remarks of the conference, Prof. Dr. Tran Thien Phuc – Vice Rector of HCMUT, Chief Manager of LMPI project highly evaluated the presence of leaders of universities in this meeting and expressed his confidence in the outcome of the conference to build a strong base for developing educational cooperation, particularly in undergraduate and postgraduate study across countries in the field of Cyber Security.
The agenda of this conference included the discussion and signing ceremony of memorandum of understanding taking place at A4 Hall of HCMUT. The discussion sessions have drawn to conclusions and agreements on issues regarding general orientation of cooperation between universities from different countries of the project. Delegates from member universities gave their comments and ideas about the problems proposed. After the discussion, representatives from universities member signed mutual memorandum of understanding and agreements on double degrees in the master degree of cyber security.
This conference was part of the activities in the framework of LMPI project and marked the new development stage of countries in the project on higher education in general and cyber security in particular. Through the meeting, more cooperation programs and ideas have been launched with the aim of strengthening partnership between countries in university education and research together with the developing of political, diplomatic and economic relationship between Vietnam and countries of the project.
