Meeting with Uppsala University, Sweden
In the afternoon of February 27, 2019, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) welcomed the visit of representatives of Uppsala University, Sweden.

Attending the meeting from Uppsala University, Sweden was Mrs. Cecilia Johansson, Vice – Dean of Science and Technology Faculty; Dr. Anna-Klara Lindeborg, Uppsala University´s Chief Representative Vietnam. On the other side, HCMUT was represented by Dr. Vu Anh Quang, Vice – Director of External Relations Office; Dr. Pham Tan Thi, Deputy Head of R & D and Project Management Office.

At the meeting, the two sides spent time introducing their cooperation needs as well as discussing other potential collaboration scopes. Uppsala University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology have agreed to promote staff and student mobility programs to enhance the relationship between two institutions, actively seeking for funding sources and encouraging self-funded exchange programs. The ideas for supporting student Innovation contest and initiating signing an MOU are also mentioned at the meeting.

Founded in 1477, Uppsala University (Swedish: Uppsala universitet) is a research university in Uppsala, Sweden. This is the oldest university in Sweden. The University has approximately 44,000 students and 2,300 PhD Fellows with about 1,800 faculty members out of a total of 6,900 employees. Uppsala is also the coordinator of many Erasmus projects in Vietnam, promising great possibilities and favorable conditions to develop cooperation with HCMUT in near future.
