“Info-Day” of GREENUS Project at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology
23 June 2022, an Info-Day about waste management related courses took place at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in a hydrid mode (both offline and online), attracting a large number of student participants.

GREENUS (GREEN waste management new edUcation System for recycling and environmental protection in asia) is a project within Eramus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education funded by European Commission via EACEA.

GREENUS project is now recruiting undergraduate and master students for the folllowing 05 courses related to waste management in academic year 2022 – 2023: Green Policies for Sustainability of Waste Management (Master), Waste Management (Bachelor), Treatment of Urban Solid Wastes (Bachelor), Energy from Wastes (Master), Valorization of Green Wastes to Produce Added Value Materials (Master).
Students are asking questions about the courses
At the Info-day, students had opportunities to raise questions and expressed their concern to the GREENUS Management Team at HCMUT. They were then instructed on how to register for the courses, their eligibility and benefits from participating in the project. When joining GREENUS courses, the students will have a lot of advantages suchh as: being able to access and study didactic materials according to European standard, practice on modern equipment proposed by the project; have opportunity to work with experts in waste management; being able to accumulate elective credits for their academic programme; being granted a certificate issued by the project consortium including: Sapienza University of Rome, Italy; The Jagiellonian University, Poland; Hellenic Mediterranean University, Greece; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Can Tho University.

In addition, 05 HCMUT students selected from GREENUS classes will be funded to join the students of HUST and CTU to undertake 3 week trainining in 3 European countries within the project (Italy, Poland, Greece).

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Nhat Huy – Vice-Dean of Environment and Natural Resources Faculty explained: “6 courses in GREENUS projects were built in collaboration between leading European professors and Vietnamese lecturers to provide students with European standard courses delivered in Vietnam conditions. Studying these courses, the students will be instructed and allowed to practise in a demo laboratory funded by GREENUS project, which can be a good foundation for them to develop their research orientation to work on technological solutions for the Circular Economy, enterpreneurship or carry out further research in Europe in the future.”
