The mobility of HCMUT’s PhD student at Jagiellonian University, Poland
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ GREENUS project, Tran Le Ba, a PhD student from the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has been granted funding to participate in a mobility program at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. The mobility period lasts for one month, from June 10th to July 10th, 2023.
During the mobility, Tran Le Ba actively participated in research activities at the laboratory of Jagiellonian University, focusing on topics such as the synthesis of catalyst and photocatalyst materials for selective oxidation of diphenyl sulfide compounds, as well as conducting analysis on the physicochemical properties of synthesized materials. The research also involved performing catalytic activity tests of the materials in the selective oxidation process of organic diphenyl sulfide compounds, using H2O2 as the oxidizing agent.
Under the supervision of Professor Lucjan Chmielarz, Tran Le Ba had the opportunity to work with other PhD students from Jagiellonian University, enhancing his research skills and gaining exposure to new technologies and methods in the synthesis of catalyst and photocatalyst materials.
After one-month stay in Europe, the doctoral student from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology received commendations from the Polish supervisor for his diligent work ethic, discipline, and dedication to research. We congratulate Tran Le Ba on the successful completion of the exchange program at Jagiellonian University and hope that his research efforts will contribute positively to the development in the field of environment and resources.
