The remaining delegates consisted of the assistant to the Secretary Ms. Huynh Vu Hien, the Head of JASSO Office in Vietnam Mr. Hagiwara accompanied on by his staff Ms. Huynh Thuy Nguyen and the representative of the General Consulate of Japan to Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Shiraishi. By contrast, the HCMUT counterparts were represented by the Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Danh Thao together with other faculties and office managers.
The meeting aimed at collecting more information about teaching and learning as well as international cooperation, especially with Japanese academic and research institutions.

The meeting was to collect more information about teaching and learning at HCMUT as well as its international cooperation with Japanese academic and research institutions to further enhance the mutual partnership.
Also, Mrs. Chunman Ai presented scholarship opportunities, especially the Japanese government-funded MEXT scholarship 2021, while the Head of JASSO Office in Vietnam gave further information on other scholarship resources. Given the information provided officially through JASSO, Mr. Hagiwara hoped that staff and students from HCMUT who are depressed for the scholarship opportunities would be not at their expense due to the fake news widely spread without control on the Internet.
