Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology hosted Year-End Banquet
As scheduled, the End-Year Banquet hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) took place on 22nd January, 2016 at Majestic Hotel at 19:00pm.
The party took place in a cordial atmosphere with over 100 attendees. The attendees warmly welcomed to the party include individuals and representatives of international and domestic diplomatic, cultural and educational exchange organizations, local governmental agencies of Southern provinces, academic institutions, corporations, and enterprises; Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City (VNU), and of leaders of the respective faculties, offices, and organizations in the university.
The Rector, on behalf of the university leadership, the whole staff and students, gave a speech to open the party as well as to convey the university’s acknowledgment to the individuals and organizations, who themselves have been side by side with the university and given the university a hand to successfully fulfill the training and research missions, creating valuable products for needs of the society – the university mission that is entrusted by the government and society. As an excerpt from the speech, the Rector stressed “we recognize that these aforementioned achievements would not have been obtained without spiritual and material contributions of organizations and individuals. Their contributions comprise of a wide range of terms, such as financial funding, consulting activities; information sharing; expert dispatches to the university, staff training, student admission for internship or fieldtrips at the factories and enterprises, training and research equipment donations, organization of social activities for community contributions, scholarship sponsorship to talented, or hardworking and poor students, and so on. These considerable sponsors enable the students to fully engage themselves to study and prepare a bright future of their careers.”
The party ended at 21:00pm on the same date.
