A “Laboratory in lighting technology” equipped at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology from Erasmus+ DESL Project
Funded by the Erasmus+ DESL project, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) has successfully procured equipment and upgraded its laboratory in lighting technology under the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with a total value of 30,000 Euros. The project has opened up new opportunities to enhance HCMUT lecturers’ teaching methods, update didactic materials, provide its students with good faciclities for course practices, as well as strengthening interactions beween the lecturers & students and professors from European partner universities within the project.
HCMUT students are doing experiment at the Laboratory of Lighting Technology of DESL project
The DESL Project’s laboratory is equipped to serve the teaching activities of the 3 courses” “Lighting and Experience,” “Smart Lighting,” and “Lighting Technology.” Furthermore, the laboratory will also be encouraged to be used for experimental activities and practice of other courses within the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Faculty members and students of HCMUT benefit from the laboratory’s equipment. Practical activities, experiments, and explorations in lighting technology are conducted more efficiently and innovatively with the support from the Erasmus+ DESL project.
Through collaboration and knowledge sharing with international partners in the project, HCMUT not only enhances its teaching and research capabilities but also contributes to the global academic community’s development in the field of lighting.
The Erasmus+ DESL project (Developing Energy Efficient and Smart Lighting Education in Vietnam & Myanmar) marks a significant step forward in teaching and researching on lighting technology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, VNU – HCM. This project is part of the Erasmus+ program funded by the European Commission, to enhance the capacities of higher education institutions, promote international cooperation in improving educational quality, innovating curricula, and advancing specialized knowledge.
