Recently, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) has successfully renewed the ABET accreditation for 02 training programs: Computer Engineering and Computer Science under the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering

These are the first two programs in Vietnam that have been qualified for the ABET reaccreditation. The period for this second accreditation cycle continues to last for another 6 years (the longest possible), from 2020 to 2026.
ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) is an organization that accredits training programs by professional associations in the United States. This is a prestigious accreditation organization in the international community, recognized by U.S. accreditor of college and university programs. With ABET standards, engineers graduated from these two disciplines will not only be recognized for their careers at international level, but also be able to widen their doors for working and exchanging equally in international environments to become leaders of the business in the future.

In addition, during this period, two master programs of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Faculty were also awarded a certificate of qualifying AUN-QA Program Assessment, including Master of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. This ANU-QA accreditation takes effect for a period of 05 years from 12 October 2019 to 11 October 2024.
Masters of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Faculty were awarded the certficate of qualifying AUN-QA Program Assessment for the period of 5 years from 12 October 2019 – 11 October 2024
Thus, the success in renewing ABET accreditation for 02 training programs: Computer Engineering and Computer Science as well as achieving the AUN-QA accreditation of Master of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering has increased the total number of accredited training programs at HCMUT to 30 programs successfully evaluated by prestigious organizations such as: ABET, AUN-QA, CTI, FIBAA, ACBSP, AMBA, IACBE …
